- It stays here
- Everything you tell us stays on Dr. Helen AI. Nothing goes to a doctor, a clinic, or anyone else unless you send it yourself or set a rule for it. You can see every send: when it went and what was in it.
- Who sees it
- The care team you choose sees all of it, from the moment you add someone until you remove them. Anyone not on your team knows nothing about you. The people who check our AI never read your record. Our staff don't read it either, except to answer a request you make.
- What's kept extra private
- Some things are protected on top of that: what's going on at home, how you're really doing, choices about a pregnancy, and anything you ask us to protect. Your care team sees them. But they never go on a document or to another person unless you say yes, each time.
- Helping the women who come after you
- Being a member means what you go through helps the next woman. Our agents learn from all members together: what women face, what helped, and what got in the way. That includes what you tell Bailey, Shaina and Claire and the things we keep extra private. It happens in a locked place of its own. What comes out is a lesson, never your story: it never names you, and no other member ever hears what happened to you. Nothing about you is used to train an AI model.
- HIPAA and security
- Dr. Helen AI treats your information as health information. We handle it to the standard HIPAA sets. HIPAA is a law that protects health information. It's encrypted. It's never sold, and it's never used for advertising.
- Your names and your photos
- Other members only ever see the public name you chose. Your care team calls you by the name you asked us to use, with the pronouns you give. Photos are treated as biometric data, like a fingerprint, and kept protected. The one exception is the swelling comparison: it goes to your doctor by default, because it's what a doctor reads. You can turn that off.
- Your rights
- You can see what we hold about you under Your data. You can take a copy under Export. You can ask us to correct it or delete it, or close your account. A person answers within 30 days. Some of your care team also keep their own working notes. They aren't listed under Your data. Ask, and a person sends them to you.
- Signing out
- After fifteen minutes with no activity you're signed out, with a minute's warning. While you time contractions, the contraction timer and the labor page keep you signed in for up to 12 hours. After 30 minutes with no contraction timed, it's fifteen minutes again. Anything you hadn't sent is lost. We never keep a draft in your browser.
